We did not have time to visit the Caverns.
Nice shaded and quiet campsites with electric and water. Restrooms and showers clean. Caves were absolutely amazing. These are the most stunning live caves we have ever seen. It was just my wife and me on the tour and management went out of their way to accommodate us. April, our guide, was awesome with a wealth of knowledge about the history and geology of the cave system. Not to be missed!
Nice campground - a few miles off I-10, but quite rural and rustic. Water and electric on all(?) but no sewer lines and no dump station. No fires allowed, but there is a BBQ on a stand, and picnic tables. Toilets and showers. No cell service and no Wi-Fi. And deer in the hills and sometimes on the grounds of the facility.
Was very happy with camp site. No bells and whistles but lovely and serene. Lots of deer to enjoy watching. Office and gift shop staff very friendly and helpful. Didn't do the cavern tour but pictures looked beautiful.
Absolutely awesome! Most amazing caves. Beautiful! Be prepared for a good walk including stairs both up and down. Really worth a visit. Do not miss it if you're in the area.
Perfect stop for us Eastbound on I-10. Quiet, room to roam. Nothing fancy which is what we like. Kerrville, which is where we intended to stop, was a bit too far this trip. Lots of deer and peacocks to keep the dog entertained. Very friendly stop. Next trip we will plan a longer stay and check out the caverns. Easy access. Large area for tall rigs to camp
