Nice place to stop for a break from highway driving. We arrived on a Sunday so it was closed but they had maps outside the building that we used to hike around the trails. Saw painted buntings and orioles. A nice little place. Would love to stop when they're open.
Neat place to explore
Not very inviting but definitely authentic. Had trouble finding an entrance and picnic area without going on a hike. Only table close to the road was in the blazing sun. Who does that in Texas?
It is great for a short hike. Trails to choose from and pic nic tables on some trails. Don't wear flip flops. You will need tennis shoes there is a lot of rocks and uneven areas on the trail.
